Yeah, much like the Bechdel Test which has well-documented limitations of its own, ours is a pretty basic tool that does a pretty basic job. When the rules are as simple as this, they're not really designed to do anything too in-depth.

The test definitely isn't foolproof, and we're by no means suggesting that The Day After Tomorrow is an Oscar contender! But we agree that this is a starting point to get things rolling, especially when conversations like ours are starting to surface around the place and there still doesn't appear to be a metric for analyzing effective climate stories.
